Patient Services Representative / Rehabilitation Technician

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients as they enter the clinic
• Answering incoming phone calls
• Scheduling patients
• Aid in the patient registration process
• Communicate benefit information
• Scan patient documentation
• Collect payments
• Run reports indicated by management
• Support in patient care and therapeutic activities as directed by the therapist in a team environment
• Provide support in cleaning and preparing treatment areas and equipment as established by the department
• Ready to float emergency situations to other TH locations
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with college or specialized training
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Experience with Insurance Payer regulations preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Prior experience with electronic medical records in a healthcare environment
• Prior experience obtaining authorizations and scheduling appointments, rehabilitation preferred

Skills and Abilities

• Medical Terminology knowledge required
• Customer service experience
• Time Management skills/ability to multi-task preferred
• Demonstrates the ability to independently think and make judgments in interpreting and adapting guidelines and making judgment decisions on specific problems
