Duties and Responsibilities
- Answers a high volume of calls and schedules appointments for all patients with a high degree of accuracy
- Communicates clearly on the phone and accurately documents and assigns messages
- Confirms and updates contact information for all patients at every contact
- Makes follow-up calls for any messages left
- Documents appointment visit status, including rescheduled, cancelled, confirmed, left voice message, or any other status appropriately
- Delivers all communications with excellent customer service
- Be courteous and professional for all patient interactions
- Routes calls to appropriate staff for swift resolution
- Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills
- Able to navigate through patient records systems
- Able to analyze situations, prioritize, develop solutions, and make recommendations
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service and communication skills over the telephone
- Able to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of medical practice terminology
- Patient-focused with the ability to work independently
- Capability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Able to reliably commute to our Kirkland and Everett offices
Education and Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience in fast paced scheduling or call center
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare position preferred - but willing to train the right individual!
- Good verbal and written communication skills
