Patient Services Representative - Estherville PRN

Position Highlights

Clinic hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What You Will Do

• Welcome patients, check them in, and complete registration.
• Verify demographics, insurance, and collect service payments.
• Perform insurance verifications, authorizations, and obtain consent and waiver forms.
• Scan all pertinent information into the patient’s record.
• Answer and address calls, messages, and faxes, routing them to appropriate individuals/departments.
• Manage computer appointment scheduling and follow office scheduling policies.
• Coordinate nurse, physician, and patient time to expedite care.
• Serve as a public relations agent for the physicians, providing friendly and efficient service.
• Direct patients to ancillary services as needed.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be able to work the specified hours.
• Must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• High School or GED Equivalent or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
