About the Role
Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, this position is responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary, including:
- Scheduling
- Insurance verification
- Financial counseling
- Patient calls
- Chart building
- Additional business office operational tasks as assigned
The successful candidate will possess outstanding multi-tasking abilities, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A demonstrated history of positive customer service encounters or programs is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of hospital or medical office experience
- Experience with insurance verifications (required)
- Medical insurance billing and coding experience (a plus)
- Strong medical terminology
- Professional verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a high-paced environment
- Genuine desire to improve the hospital as a whole
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
