About the role
A Patient Service Representative who excels in this role:
- Utilizes excellent customer service skills at all times
- Works with other laboratory personnel to resolve problems with laboratory client samples, and communicates resolutions to clients
- Functions as liaison with clients to disseminate test information, answer inquiries and troubleshoot problems
- Performs clerical and customer service duties using electronic equipment and hospital/laboratory computer systems
- Aids with client billing. Communicates price changes to clients
- Aids with performance improvement initiatives pertaining to customer service, including data collection and communication with laboratory leadership team
- Aids with orientation and training of personnel and students
- Participates and attends meetings as required and/or assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- 1 year laboratory experience (Preferred)
- 1 year customer service experience (Preferred)
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Required. Associates Degree preferred
Skills
