About the role
The Patient Services Representative acts as a resource to the assigned Patient Services Team Lead. They assist patients by accurately verifying and updating demographics and insurance information, handling co-pays, scheduling, rescheduling and canceling appointments, checking patients in and out. They also provide patient education material, resolve tasks from medical providers, scrub schedules and ensure the patient waitlist is updated in a timely manner.
Responsibilities

- Ensure efficient patient flow is being followed
- Provide consistent high-quality service
- Solve problems and de-escalate issues or concerns
- Establish communication with medical teams for the purpose of patient satisfaction
Requirements
- Educational Requirements: High School / GED required. Two to four years college or a combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience Required: Two years relevant work experience preferred including demonstrated customer service and accurate data entry. A Medical Office Administration certificate is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Bilingual English/Spanish required, or as needed to support other health center languages.
