About the role

The Eye Associates, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is seeking a patient care coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position involves assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Checks patients in for appointments, greeting them professionally.
  • Marks the arrival time of patients and ensures they are seen promptly.
  • Scans patients' insurance cards and driver's licenses.
  • Enters all new patient demographic information into the computer.
  • Collects and verifies proper authorization or referrals from patients.
  • Presents and collects fees, posts payments, and schedules the next appointment.
  • Maintains accuracy of accounts by collecting and posting payments, processing credit cards, and balancing cash drawers daily.
  • Evaluates chart data to confirm all necessary information has been received, completed, and signed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year's experience in eye care or a related medical environment preferred.
