Patient Services Representative-ASI OBL/Podiatry

About the Role

As the first person who greets our patients, you will provide friendly, courteous, professional, and informative service to MCR Health’s patients seeking to schedule appointments, requiring referrals, or needing other information or services. You will create a caring and compassionate environment, ensuring an exceptional experience for everyone, every time.

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) plays a key role in a smooth front office operation, meeting Time of Service Collections goals, conducting pre-visit verification and confirmation, and performing end-of-day reconciliation. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) programs and procedures is essential, along with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a smile and provide a welcoming first impression.
• Check in patients for appointments and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
• Answer phone calls to schedule appointments and address patient questions about services and hours.
• Call patients to schedule future and same-day appointments.
• Participate in front office operations, including time-of-service collections and pre-visit verification.
• Perform end-of-day reconciliation tasks.
• Utilize EHR programs and procedures effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ months of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
• Healthcare experience (preferred).
• Ability to multi-task and remain focused in a busy environment.
