Patient Services Coordinator

At LUX Infusion, we're reimagining infusion care to be more human, supportive, and connected. The Patient Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in creating a calm, welcoming, and well-organized experience for patients, caregivers, and referring providers.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm and welcoming first impression for patients, caregivers, visitors, and referring provider partners.
- Support a smooth patient experience by coordinating check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, visit flow, and general front-office needs.
- Help patients and caregivers understand appointment expectations, required forms, visit flow, and next steps within the scope of the role.
- Carefully coordinate infusion and injectable therapy appointments, taking into account provider orders, treatment capacity, staffing availability, and patient needs.
- Serve as a trusted non-clinical point of contact for patient questions, appointment requests, and general service needs, while promptly routing clinical concerns to licensed team members.
- Support patient comfort by helping maintain a calm, clean, organized, and patient-ready environment in reception, waiting, and other patient-facing areas.
- Provide thoughtful hospitality support during visits, including comfort items and general assistance, in line with LUX Infusion service standards.
- Aid with insurance verification, benefits review, authorization tracking, registration updates, and related administrative processes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient information in the electronic medical record and other operational systems.
- Support communication with referring provider offices regarding documentation, scheduling coordination, status updates, and administrative follow-through.
- Prepare daily schedules, patient paperwork, and administrative materials that help the clinical team stay ready and focused on care.
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, providers, intake personnel, clinic leadership, referring offices, and operational teammates.
- Bring thoughtfulness, reliability, and follow-through to each patient interaction and administrative detail.
- Identify and implement better ways to serve patients, providers, and teammates through clear communication, service recovery, and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience in medical reception, patient access, scheduling, front-office coordination, healthcare administration, outpatient clinic operations, specialty practice support, or ambulatory care.
- Familiarity with patient registration, insurance verification, benefits coordination, authorization tracking, EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and medical terminology can be helpful.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including calmness under pressure, attentiveness to patient needs, and comfort balancing multiple priorities in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly, listen with empathy, and know when to escalate concerns to the appropriate clinical or leadership team member.

LUX Infusion offers a competitive pay range of $22 - $26 USD per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
