Patient Services Associate II - Washington Township Primary Care (Full-time)
About the role
The Patient Services Associate (PSA) II at Primary Care Office is responsible for enhancing the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. The role involves obtaining pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures, verifying insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information, and supporting the delivery of the Jefferson Experience.
Responsibilities
- Processes check-in and/or check-out, point-of-service activities, and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
- Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
- Maintains an efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
- Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
- Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
Requirements
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Customer service and/or patient-facing healthcare experience preferred.

Pay
$17.00 to $23.64 hourly. Actual hiring rate will be determined based on candidate experience, skills, and qualifications.
Schedule
Workday Day (United States of America) - M-W 7:15am-8p; Th 7:15am-7:30pm; F 7:30-5. PSA's are expected to work at least one closing shift.
