Patient Services Associate II
About the Role
As our Patient Services Professional, you will be the welcoming voice and central administrative support, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations through diverse engagements. You will expertly manage phone customer service, distribute communications, and handle patient information such as demographics, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. You'll also process referrals, authorizations, pre-registrations, and other clerical tasks, adapting to clinic needs while responsibly handling sensitive data.
Responsibilities
- Manage phone customer service with a scripted greeting: "Thank you for choosing (Clinic) this is (your name) how can I help you"
- Use scripted closing at every interaction: "Is there anything else I can do for you" (both over the phone and as patients leave the clinic)
- Handle patient information including demographics, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling
- Process referrals, authorizations, and pre-registrations
- Perform other clerical tasks as needed
- Consistently demonstrate customer service expectations, including:
- Making eye contact and smiling
- Active listening with a positive, can-do attitude
- Being respectful, concerned, and showing empathy
Requirements
- One (1) year experience as a PSA I or equivalent experience
- Completion of a medical terminology class or equivalent experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- System proficiency
- Proactive service and adaptability
- Responsible handling of sensitive information

$25.00 - $34.33 per hour
