Patient Service Specialist

About the role

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our team in West Orange. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers facility's front office activities
• Performs patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation
• Collects, reconciles, and prepares daily bank deposits for over the counter cash
• Obtains and tracks authorizations
• Ensures the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in a medical office setting that required multi-tasking
• Knowledge of health insurance
• Basic computer skills including keyboard familiarity, word processing, office procedures, filing, verbal and written communication, fax, and photocopy

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication skills
• Customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, patients, physicians, and community members

Pay

• $20-$24 hourly depending on years of experience at Kessler

Schedule

• Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
