Patient Service Specialist

About the role

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our team. This position ensures the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources through the coordination and administration of facility's "front office" activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers facility’s front office activities
• Performs patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation
• Collects, reconciles, and prepares daily bank deposits for over the counter cash
• Obtains and tracks authorizations
• Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and policies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two years in a medical office setting that required multi-tasking preferred
• Knowledge of health insurance preferred
• Basic computer skills including keyboard familiarity, word processing, office procedures, filing, fax, photocopy

• Exceptional communication skills
• Customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, patients, physicians, and community members
• Available early mornings and evenings for all shifts Monday - Friday

Pay

$20-$24 hourly depending on years of experience

Schedule

Monday-Friday shifts vary 7:00am-8:00pm
