Patient Service Specialist

About the role

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our team in Middletown. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers facility's "front office" activities
• Performs patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation
• Collects, reconciles, and prepares daily bank deposits for over the counter cash
• Obtains and tracks authorizations
• Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years in a medical office setting that required multi-tasking
• Knowledge of health insurance preferred
• Basic computer skills including keyboard familiarity, word processing, office procedures, filing, verbal and written communication, fax, and photocopy

• Customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with staff members, supportive personnel, patients, physicians, and community members

Pay

$20-$24 hourly depending on years of experience
