About the role

As a Patient Service Specialist at Cleveland Clinic, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and service. Your responsibilities include assisting patients with scheduling, pre-registration, and visit preparations, as well as performing tasks such as telephone triage, insurance verification, and co-pay collection.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with scheduling and pre-registration
• Perform telephone triage and investigate patient issues
• Enroll and educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass
• Manage patient registration, visit preparation, and insurance verification
• Collect co-pays and track patient records
• Screen and schedule interpreter services
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information
• Recruit and enroll patients in healthcare programs

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Associate’s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic math skills for processing insurance co-pays
• Ability to perform tasks requiring dexterity and extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting
• Good visual acuity and ability to navigate various locations
• Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds

Pay

The pay range for this role is $15.75 to $21.65 per hour, with a minimum hourly rate of $15.75 and a maximum hourly rate of $21.65. The pay range includes applicable pay practices such as shift differentials and overtime.

Schedule

This role is a part-time remote position, with a fixed schedule of Thursdays from 10:00am–9:00pm and Sundays from 3:00pm–11:30pm. Caregivers are required to work every Sunday and participate in an alternating holiday rotation.
