Position Details
Full-time position
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (or similar)
Serves rehabilitative services (PT, OT, and SLP) providers
Location: 3875 E Overland Rd, Meridian, ID 83642
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous customer service experience required
Healthcare experience preferred
Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus
Medical terminology preferred
Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred
Essential Functions
Knows, understands, and incorporates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA guidelines
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
Additional Duties
Acknowledges and greets patients immediately, providing a positive customer service experience
Registers patients for appointments and completes paperwork
Verifies and updates existing patient and insurance information
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival
Informs patients immediately of delays, explains why, and the anticipated wait time
Collects and communicates patients' responsible balances for visits, diagnostic testing, supplies, etc.
Maintains knowledge of different payer practices and deductibles
Aids patients with all aspects of Financial Assistance paperwork
Papers control credit extended to patients via a payment plan
Maintains business office inventory and equipment and orders supplies
Maintains a neat work area including the reception area
Follows Cash Control Policy and Procedure and balances daily financial activities
Ensures collection of payments at time of service
