About the role

Durable Medical Equipment, a Pivotal Health company, is seeking an energetic, patient-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be a vital connection between patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and our delivery team, helping ensure patients receive the equipment they need with exceptional service and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer support to patients, caregivers, physicians, and healthcare partners via phone and email
• Process and manage durable medical equipment (DME) orders accurately and efficiently
• Cook up and follow-up communications with patients and providers
• Work closely with physician offices, hospitals, clinics, and insurance providers to obtain required documentation and authorizations
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in company systems
• Aid patients with questions regarding orders, deliveries, and equipment needs
• Deliver a positive, compassionate experience during every customer interaction

Requirements

• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficient computer and data-entry skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Healthcare experience required
• Experience in one or more of the following preferred:
• Patient Service Representative (PSR)
• Medical Receptionist
• Medical Office Assistant
• Patient Access Representative
• Referral Coordinator
• Insurance Authorization Specialist
• Prior Authorization Representative
• Healthcare Customer Service Representative
• Durable Medical Equipment (DME)

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of insurance verification, authorizations, referrals, patient scheduling, or medical office workflows preferred
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in computer and data entry
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Healthcare experience or relevant field
• Experience in DME or related field
