About the role
The Patient Service Representative plays a significant part in creating a great experience for patients and their families. This role works in partnership with physicians and clinical staff to handle administrative tasks such as checking in patients for appointments, collecting co-pays, answering telephones, taking accurate messages, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Check in patients for appointments

- Verify and update insurance eligibility
- Use EPIC to update required information
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- EHR experience a plus
- Medical terminology preferred
- Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred

Pay
Competitive compensation with a full benefits package.
Schedule
This is a PRN position with shifts between 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The clinic supports various specialties including Family Practice, Occ Med, Cardiology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Surgical Ophthalmology. PRN employees are typically expected to take at least 3 shifts per month, but more can be taken as available/desired.
