About the role
We are searching for a Patient Service Representative for our Comprehensive Primary Care Associates office located at 13303 Tesson Ferry!
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls for the office
- Ask pertinent questions related to patient symptoms and relay this information to the provider
- Schedule appointments
- Handle faxes
Requirements
- Project a positive and professional image over the phone, and in all interactions with patients and coworkers
- Multi-task and stay organized
- Drive a strong desire to deliver quality customer service
- Possess formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Have knowledge of medical terminology
- Have knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO’s, PPO’s, etc.
- Be PC/Windows proficient
- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction
- Communicate effectively and work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO’s, PPO’s, etc.
- PC/Windows proficiency

Pay
- Starting rate of pay is $17.37 up to $20.00/hour (based upon a variety of factors, including relevant work experience)
Schedule
- Full-time opening
- Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- No nights, weekends or holidays
- Outpatient clinical practice
- Day-to-day work
