About the role

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) serves as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors at Mercy Hospital Southeast. Their primary responsibility is to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience by managing front desk operations and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, processing documentation, and managing patient information.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies while handling sensitive information.
• Handle unexpected situations with composure and professionalism, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
• Attend and complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training within six months of hire.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required.
• Adaptability and the ability to work under pressure.
