About the role
The primary function of this role is to create the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record utilized by all members of the healthcare team. This involves preventing the creation of duplicate medical records, ensuring compliance with accrediting bodies, checking in and registering patients, obtaining and verifying insurance information, discussing and collecting co-pays, maintaining confidentiality, and providing accurate information regarding test preparations and patient arrival time.
Responsibilities

Requirements
This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle large workloads in a fast-paced environment. No formal education or licensure is required, but a high school diploma is preferred. No previous experience is necessary.
Qualifications
Essential job functions include the ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize work, and handle emergencies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also required. Basic computer proficiency, including experience with insurance verification/eligibility tools, EPIC electronic medical record, patient liability estimation tools, electronic email, Microsoft Office, Internet, and phone technology, is essential.
Skills
Knowledge of insurance basics, familiarity with commercial and government plans, and understanding of financial responsibility statements are required. Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial payers is beneficial. Familiarity with HIPAA and other relevant regulations is important.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.80 - $31.20 per hour.
Schedule
