Patient Service Representative – Family Medicine

Come join our team as a full-time Patient Service Representative with BJC Medical Group in Family Medicine located in Festus. This is a rare opportunity to join a great team in an outpatient setting (not front desk).

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, including the assignment of diagnostic codes and entering all physician and clinic-related charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience
• Preferred: Medical Office Experience

Schedule

40 hours per week, day shift: Monday - Thursday 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 7:45 AM - 12:30 PM. No call, no weekends, no holidays.
