Patient Service Representative
Work Location: 21351 Ridgetop Circle, Sterling, VA 20166
Work Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Join us in elevating your career! The Patient Service Representative is a critical role within Solis Mammography, impacting the profitability of the organization through outstanding patient care and efficient workflow management.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for patients by greeting, gathering information, registering, and posting payments.
- Register patients completely and accurately, including inputting demographic and insurance information into the RIS and verifying accuracy.
- Explain forms to patients and assist with form completion, either via paper or tablet.
- Process necessary paperwork, including scanning documents linked to the patient's medical record and maintaining confidentiality.
- Collect patient payments, including explaining insurance benefits when necessary.
- Prepare paperwork for future appointments, incorporating additional paperwork needed for specific exams or payors as necessary.
- Schedule and reschedule patients as needed.
- Generate daily invoice journal at the end of each day and reconcile payments using the Daily Reconciliation Report.
- Participate in front office training to stay updated on policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of cash handling
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but sometimes complex written or oral instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of RIS software preferred)
Qualifications
