Patient Service Representative

About the role

Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time Floating Patient Services Representative to provide front desk and administrative support across their outpatient imaging centers in Raleigh and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Register patients, verify demographics, and assist with the check-in process.
• Answer questions and guide patients through their visit.
• Verify insurance eligibility.
• Cook up referrals and maintain accurate patient records.
• Enter patient information accurately into our electronic systems.
• Prepare daily schedules and make appointment reminder calls.
• Ensure all authorizations and required documentation are completed before scheduled appointments.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
• Provide support to multiple imaging centers, helping ensure seamless operations and outstanding patient care.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of medical office experience (radiology experience preferred).
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, multitask, and thrive in different office environments.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between imaging centers as needed.
