Position Summary
Practice patient service representative proactively ensures an exceptional experience for patients when greeting, checking in, and checking out during their appointment; answers incoming phone calls, responds to general patient requests, takes telephone messages and schedules patient appointments.
Position Requirements
- Educational and Previous Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college preferred.
- Hardware/Software Experience:
- Practice management/medical billing computer programs.
- Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel).
- Other Characteristics:
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detailed oriented.
- Able to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and develop applicable policies and procedures (e.g., regarding collections).
- Flexible; able to adapt to change.
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
