Patient Service Representative

Position Summary

Practice patient service representative proactively ensures an exceptional experience for patients when greeting, checking in, and checking out during their appointment; answers incoming phone calls, responds to general patient requests, takes telephone messages and schedules patient appointments.

Position Requirements

• Educational and Previous Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred.
• Hardware/Software Experience:
  • Practice management/medical billing computer programs.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel).
• Other Characteristics:
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Able to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and develop applicable policies and procedures (e.g., regarding collections).
  • Flexible; able to adapt to change.
  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
