About the Role
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our dynamic team. We are dedicated to improving radiology and enhancing patient care through innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Timely registration of patient arrivals, collecting out-of-pocket payments, and validating demographic information.
- Inform patients about delays and wait times, and follow up to resolve inquiries or complaints.
- Answer and investigate patient inquiries or complaints, directing them to supervisors or managers as necessary.
- Obtain and validate photo identifications and insurance cards, scanning documents into charts and categorizing them.
- Provide consent, financial, and HIPAA compliance-related documents, explaining them thoroughly to patients if needed.
- Utilize and apply EHR software, hardware, and programs for accurate prescription verification and preparation instructions.
- Coordinate with interdepartmental professionals to ensure patient satisfaction regarding appointment scheduling and admissions.
- Manage outgoing and incoming faxes through electronic and manual methods, maintaining appropriate levels of administrative office supplies.
- Contact referring physician offices to verify information and requests, ensuring timely communication and patient care.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Maintain reception and patient waiting areas, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and adequate supplies.
- Monitor modality schedules, greet and escort patients to changing rooms, and assist technologists with prep and turnaround.
- Clean and stock patient prep rooms and restrooms, checking linen and laundry at the end of shifts.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of applicable customer service experience
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficient with computer systems and typing
- Two years' customer service experience preferred
- Experience using EMR/HER computer systems
- Experience in Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging healthcare setting
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
- Insurance knowledge
- Bilingual skills preferred

Pay
The pay for this role is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a Full-Time position working 10:00am-6:30pm.
