Responsibilities

  • Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
  • Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
  • Handle physician and nurse requests promptly.
  • Communicate billing policies and provide itemized bills as needed.
  • Accurately register patients and offer excellent customer service.
  • Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
  • Answer billing and insurance questions and provide receipts.
  • Referral of billing inquiries to relevant parties.
  • Collect payments and issue receipts according to EMR system.
  • Discharge patients and process incurred charges.
  • Manage cash transactions, count and account for collected funds.
  • Receive, send, and distribute correspondence as directed.
  • Assist with filing and scanning medical documents.
  • Complete assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks.
  • Answer incoming calls and distribute messages.
  • Perform other assignments as directed.
  • Understand and operate the electronic medical record system.
  • Stock and move ordered supplies.
  • Ensure daily reports are generated at the end of the day.
  • Participate in staff meetings and other assignments as needed.
  • Provide positive, warm, and friendly service in all interactions.
  • Complete other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Basic typing skills required.
  • One year of clerical experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
  • Prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to work at any center due to staffing issues, emergencies, or reductions.

Qualifications

  • Efficient understanding of the electronic medical record system.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist as needed.

Pay

Salary Range: $19.50 - $22.00, depending on experience.
