Responsibilities
- Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
- Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
- Handle physician and nurse requests promptly.
- Communicate billing policies and provide itemized bills as needed.
- Accurately register patients and offer excellent customer service.
- Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
- Answer billing and insurance questions and provide receipts.
- Referral of billing inquiries to relevant parties.
- Collect payments and issue receipts according to EMR system.
- Discharge patients and process incurred charges.
- Manage cash transactions, count and account for collected funds.
- Receive, send, and distribute correspondence as directed.
- Assist with filing and scanning medical documents.
- Complete assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks.
- Answer incoming calls and distribute messages.
- Perform other assignments as directed.
- Understand and operate the electronic medical record system.
- Stock and move ordered supplies.
- Ensure daily reports are generated at the end of the day.
- Participate in staff meetings and other assignments as needed.
- Provide positive, warm, and friendly service in all interactions.
- Complete other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic typing skills required.
- One year of clerical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
- Prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work at any center due to staffing issues, emergencies, or reductions.

- Positive attitude and willingness to assist as needed.

Pay
Salary Range: $19.50 - $22.00, depending on experience.
