Responsibilities

  • Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
  • Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
  • Handle Physician and Nurse requests promptly.
  • Communicate billing policies and provide itemized bills.
  • Register patients accurately and provide excellent customer service.
  • Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
  • Answer billing and insurance questions and provide itemized billing statements.
  • Refer billing questions to the appropriate parties.
  • Collect payments and issue receipts.
  • Process incurred charges and discharge patients.
  • Manage cash and account for collected funds.
  • Receive, send, and distribute correspondence.
  • Complete assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks.
  • Answer incoming calls and distribute messages.
  • Assist with other assignments as directed.
  • Understand and operate the electronic medical record system.
  • Stock and move ordered supplies.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Run daily reports and verify their completion.
  • Attend staff meetings as directed.
  • Be available to assist as needed.
  • Operate and maintain medical and office equipment.
  • Participate in maintenance assignments.
  • Provide positive, warm, and friendly service.
  • Complete other duties as directed.

    Requirements

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Basic typing skills required.
    • One year of clerical experience preferred.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
    • Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
    • Prioritize and multitask effectively.
    • Willingness to work at any center.
