Responsibilities
- Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
- Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
- Handle Physician and Nurse requests promptly.
- Communicate billing policies and provide itemized bills.
- Register patients accurately and provide excellent customer service.
- Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
- Answer billing and insurance questions and provide itemized billing statements.
- Refer billing questions to the appropriate parties.
- Collect payments and issue receipts.
- Process incurred charges and discharge patients.
- Manage cash and account for collected funds.
- Receive, send, and distribute correspondence.
- Complete assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks.
- Answer incoming calls and distribute messages.
- Assist with other assignments as directed.
- Understand and operate the electronic medical record system.
- Stock and move ordered supplies.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Run daily reports and verify their completion.
- Attend staff meetings as directed.
- Be available to assist as needed.
- Operate and maintain medical and office equipment.
- Participate in maintenance assignments.
- Provide positive, warm, and friendly service.
- Complete other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic typing skills required.
- One year of clerical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
- Prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work at any center.
