Responsibilities
- Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
- Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
- Handle Physician and Nurse requests promptly.
- Communicate billing policies and provide itemized bills as needed.
- Accurately register patients and offer excellent customer service.
- Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
- Answer billing and insurance questions and process payments.
- Referral of billing inquiries to relevant departments.
- Collect and issue receipts for patient visits and supplies.
- Discharge patients and process incurred charges.
- Manage cash transactions and ensure accurate record keeping.
- File and scan medical documents and office forms.
- Complete assigned checklists and perform Policy Manager tasks.
- Answer incoming calls and distribute messages.
- Assist with other tasks as directed.
- Understand and utilize the electronic medical record system efficiently.
- Receive, move, and stock supplies.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of the work area.
- Run daily reports and complete other assigned tasks.
- Be available to assist during breaks, meal times, or emergencies.
- Operate, use, and maintain medical and office equipment.
- Participate in maintenance activities as required.
- Provide positive, warm, and friendly service.
- Complete additional duties as directed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic typing skills.
- One year of clerical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills (visual, verbal, written, and typed).
- Prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work at any center.
