Responsibilities
- Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
- Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
- Handle Physician and Nurse requests promptly.
- Communicate billing policies and provide itemized statements.
- Register patients accurately and provide excellent customer service.
- Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
- Answer billing and insurance questions and refer complex issues.
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and process charges.
- Discharge patients and complete cash management duties.
- Filing and scanning medical documents and office forms.
- Completing assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks.
- Answering incoming calls and distributing messages.
- Assisting with other tasks as directed.
- Understanding and operating the electronic medical record system.
- Receiving, moving, and stocking supplies.
- Cleaning the front office work area and performing maintenance.
- Verifying daily reports and attending staff meetings.
- Providing support during breaks and meal times as needed.
- Operating and maintaining medical and office equipment.
- Participating in maintenance assignments as required.
- Offering positive, warm, and friendly service.
- Completing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Basic typing skills.
- One year of clerical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills (visual, verbal, written, and typed).
- Prioritizing and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to work at any center.
