Responsibilities
- Aiding patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
- Escort patients needing emergency assistance to the treatment area.
- Handle Physician and Nurse requests promptly.
- Communicate billing policies and provide itemized statements.
- Accurately register patients and offer excellent customer service.
- Verify patient demographic, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
- Answer and address billing and insurance inquiries.
- Referral of billing questions to relevant parties.
- Collect payments and issue receipts.
- Process incurred charges and complete cash management duties.
- File and scan medical documents and office forms.
- Complete assigned checklists and Policy Manager tasks.
- Answer incoming calls and distribute messages.
- Assist with other tasks as directed.
- Efficiently understand and utilize the electronic medical record system.
- Receive, move, and stock supplies.
- Clean the front office work area and perform other maintenance tasks.
- Run daily reports at the end of the day.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Be available to assist as needed during breaks and meal times.
- Operate, use, and maintain medical and office equipment.
- Participate in maintenance assignments as directed.
- Provide positive, warm, and friendly service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic typing skills.
- One year of clerical experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
- Prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work at any center due to staffing issues, emergencies, or reduced work.
