Finding the right fit for our team is important to us. As a Patient Service Representative in our Rehabilitation Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients and their families receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities
- Helping to ensure warm, friendly and considerate assistance to patients and their families.
- Facilitating clerical and reception responsibilities.
- Aiding in administrative tasks such as interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients' medical records.
- Processing professional/technical fees generated by department providers accurately and timely.
- Performing cash handling and collection.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent education.
- One (1) year of clerical support in a health care setting or related experience.
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- Basic medical terminology.
- Experience with EPIC.
- International Classification of Diseases 9th edition (ICD-9) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding certification.
Skills
- Sensitive and helpful personality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
