About the role

Finding the right fit for our team is important to us. As a Patient Service Representative in our Rehabilitation Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients and their families receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities

  • Helping to ensure warm, friendly and considerate assistance to patients and their families.
  • Facilitating clerical and reception responsibilities.
  • Aiding in administrative tasks such as interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients' medical records.
  • Processing professional/technical fees generated by department providers accurately and timely.
  • Performing cash handling and collection.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education.
  • One (1) year of clerical support in a health care setting or related experience.
  • Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Basic medical terminology.
  • Experience with EPIC.
  • International Classification of Diseases 9th edition (ICD-9) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding certification.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
