About the role

The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in supporting Hawaii Pacific Health's mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care. This position acts as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in the Contact Center, assisting with administrative tasks such as registration, admission, and fee processing.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, register, admit, update, and create patients' medical records
  • Accurately and timely process professional and technical fees generated by department providers
  • Perform cash handling and collection

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of clerical support in a healthcare setting or related experience
  • Basic computer skills

Qualifications

  • Sensitive and helpful individual with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people

Skills

  • Basic medical terminology
  • International Classification of Diseases and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Coding Certification (preferred)
  • Experience with EPIC (preferred)
