About the role

The Patient Service Representative position at Straub Benioff Medical Center - Hawaii Kai Clinic is part-time, non-bargaining, exempt. This role supports the facility with warm customer service, clinical competency, and fiscal responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Helping patients and their families receive warm, friendly, and considerate assistance at Straub Benioff Medical Center and its clinics.
• Facilitating clerical and reception responsibilities, including interviewing, registering, admitting, updating, and creating patients' medical records.
• Processing accurate and timely professional/technical fees generated by department providers.
• Performing cash handling and collection.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of clerical support in a healthcare setting or related experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology.
• Experience with EPIC.
• International Classification of Diseases 10th edition (ICD-10) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding certification.
