Patient Service Rep

About the role

The Patient Service Representative is critical to the success of the Medical Arts Center. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling check-ins, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. You may also support working referrals and responding to voicemails. This is a fast-paced office with opportunities for growth and a great team environment.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, including assignment of diagnostic codes and entering all physician and clinic-related charges.
• Coordinates information with the Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience
