About the role

This position offers a wide range of growth opportunities to staff members dedicated to serving our patients. The Patient Scheduling Coordinator facilitates and coordinates the care of our patients through effective and timely scheduling, schedules complex appointments requiring coordination of multiple resources, evaluates scheduling policies and procedures, takes incoming phone calls from patients and their families to assist with appointment scheduling needs, and acts as a liaison with leadership to determine scheduling resource needs.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule complex appointments which require the coordination of multiple resources to complete scheduling for surgical and non-surgical procedures.
  • Evaluate scheduling policies and procedures.
  • Take incoming phone calls from patients and their families to assist them with their appointment scheduling needs.
  • Act as a liaison with leadership to determine scheduling resource needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum – High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in an office or customer service environment.
  • One (1) year or more of electronic medical scheduling experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Preferred – Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other related field.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Pay

Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

Schedule

Work Schedule: 70% FTE, 28 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
