Patient Relations Representative
Duties
- Answer all incoming calls and route them to appropriate personnel; take messages and send task as necessary for all care centers.
- Schedule, confirm, and cancel office appointments as patients call in.
- Work on referrals and import demographics from patient portal.
- Pick up voicemail messages on a daily basis.
- Verify patients health plan benefits & obtain authorization, if needed.
- Aid patients with questions and/or concerns regarding procedures.
- Request medical records from doctors and hospitals.
- Call-in new prescriptions and refills and obtain authorization if necessary.
- Obtain lab results including stat requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years' Medical Office or high volume Call Center experience required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED
- eClinicalWorks (eCW): 1 year (Preferred)
- GI knowledge/experience desired
- Must have your own reliable transportation to work
