PATIENT REGISTRAR (PART TIME)- LAKELAND URGENT CARE
About the role
This part-time position is available at Lakeland Urgent Care Team within Northwest Specialty Hospital. The position rotates between weekdays and weekends, offering a $2.50 differential per hour for weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure
- Obtain and ensure copies of necessary documentation for billing and collections
- Process co-payments and payments
- Register patients and update medical records
- Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments
- Perform nightly closing procedures for the clinic
- Call patients for pre-registration notifications including copays and deductibles
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service background
- Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
