Role: Patient Observation Assistant Responsibilities: Visually and audibly monitor assigned patients, document observations, and respond to needs with compassion.Maintain bedside presence unless relieved, redirect at-risk behaviors, and escalate concerns to medical staff.Participate in safety checks, assist with patient comfort, and accompany patients during diagnostic tests.Report safety hazards, assist with patient hygiene, positioning, and mobility, and respond promptly to emergencies.Communicate pertinent patient information during hand-offs, follow department policies, and uphold confidentiality.Support staff with basic patient needs and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required.CPR/BLS certification within 30 days if required by the facility.Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.Preferred 1-2 years of related experience.Excellent interpersonal, observational, and safety awareness skills.
