Job Summary
The department will initially focus on inpatient surgery prior authorization to kick off the team. In this full-time position, you will work alongside your current team of navigators to help standardize and support an outstanding patient experience.
What You Can Expect
- Acting as the patient navigators' support to provide authorization and, in some cases, scheduling.
- Utilizing Office 365 products, Intergy, insurance carrier sites, reviewing prior authorizations and communicating with staff when needed.
- Sitting at a desk without interruption for extended periods of time may seem unnatural.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate calmly with patients and technicians.
- Display a high-level of professionalism when interacting with patients and clinical staff members.
- Able to handle multiple tasks at one time while staying organized.
- Prior exposure to patient care coordination.
- Ensures patients receive timely care, promotes a reliable healthcare environment, and supports the overall efficiency of the team by being dependable.
