About the role
Current Opening: One Full-time position (6:00AM – 2:30 PM)
Responsible for greeting, screening, directing and assisting patients and guests who visit Powell Valley Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Positively and proactively greets and accurately communicates information to all patients and guests using AIDET as appropriate.
- Appropriately screens patients and guests for entrance into the organization.
- Providing assistance in opening car doors at the front entrance if needed, providing wheelchairs near the hospital entrance and/or helping patients call for rides as needed.
- Directs the flow of the front hospital registration process.
- Directs patients and guests to appropriate departments as needed following established processes.
- Accounts for inventory of hospital wheelchairs: retrieves wheelchairs from various service areas to ensure an adequate amount are available at the front entry area of the hospital.
- Oversees the proper use and storage of equipment and ensures equipment is operationally safe.
- Responsible for cleaning wheelchairs when returned.
- Accepts payment drop-off’s and routes to Patient Financial Services appropriately.
- Organizes and maintains the front lobby of the hospital.
- Implements and adheres to all aspects of PVHC’s Vision, Mission and Standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General education degree (GED) required.

- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift or move objects weighing 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Sitting/standing near outside doors during extreme cold or hot weather
- Exposure to blood and body fluids, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, exposure to burns and radiant energy, exposure to explosives, exposure to toxic chemicals and biological agents.
- Reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, stooping, bending, crouching, and working with equipment.
- Standing 60% of the workday/Sitting 40% of the workday
