Patient Insurance Representative

The Patient Insurance Representative helps patients navigate complex billing, financial, and insurance workflows. Responsibilities include coordinating with physician practices and insurance companies to obtain authorization for scheduled surgeries and procedures, performing administrative duties to manage work queues, providing estimates, confirming insurance, securing authorizations, answering billing questions, and collecting payments.
This position serves as a liaison to patients, the community, and healthcare professionals, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure high-quality customer service. The work environment may be in a physician practice or a call center. This task-based, metrics-driven role involves reviewing and interpreting insurance authorization coverage online and through conversations with insurance representatives.
The Patient Insurance Representative supports multiple specialties, reviews patient charts, communicates with physician offices to obtain needed information, and relays necessary details to insurance companies.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- 1 year of experience in healthcare (required).
