Patient Imaging Navigator

Job Description

Facilitates communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure patient satisfaction and quality of care.

Buils working relationships with doctor’s offices and patients to enhance coordination and support.

Guides patients through the healthcare system, ensuring their healthcare needs are met efficiently.

Reads patient results in the EMR to provide accurate and timely information.

Identifies imaging results requiring follow-up and coordinates the necessary actions.

Schedules patient referrals to appropriate healthcare providers or services.

Follows up on canceled appointments to reschedule and ensure continuity of care.

Responds to inquiries from patients, physicians, and facilities, providing necessary information and support.

Supports the imaging department and manager by maintaining effective communication and coordination.

• Demonstrates ability to work with patients in an environment with time restraints.
• Demonstrates ability to anticipate patient needs and take appropriate course of action using approved guidelines.
• Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be well-organized, flexible, and dependable and have strong attention to detail skills.
• Must have the ability to work independently of direct supervision.
• Must be able to provide education and resources with compassion to patients if needed.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
• PC experience, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Outlook, Word and Excel, excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-directed, attention to detail, and ability to handle high workload volume.
• Must be flexible and demonstrate ability to be adaptable.

Education

• Associate
• Field Of Study in business or health-related field.

Work Experience

• 1+ previous hospital or medical office experience.
• Previous imaging office experience [Preferred]
