PATIENT FOOD SERVICES MANAGER
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services team within an acute care environment. This role is responsible for overseeing patient dining operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing patient satisfaction, and developing a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage patient food service operations to meet the nutritional needs and preferences of patients in accordance with physician orders and clinical guidelines.
- Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and develop Patient Services team members to maintain a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with prescribed dietary restrictions and modified diets while delivering quality meal service that supports patient satisfaction.
- Drive initiatives that contribute to achieving and exceeding patient satisfaction goals.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations, including HIPAA requirements, patient rights policies, and facility confidentiality standards.
- Participate in and/or lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Qualifications
- Aceessory degree with at least one (1) year of experience in food service or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Food Service Technology, Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (RDT), or Registered Dietitian (RD) credential preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of food service management experience, preferably within an acute care or healthcare setting.
- ServSafe® Certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records (EMR), and diet office management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
