Patient Financial Advocate
Job Summary
The duties of the Patient Financial Advocate include the core duties of the Financial Counselor, in addition to case management of uninsured patients from in-room screening, to eligibility and enrollment in applicable government programs and other reimbursement programs. The Patient Financial Advocate will manage open cases, file paperwork, attend hearings, and assist patients with their financial needs. They must maintain training and certification as required by Saint Francis and the state of Missouri. The Patient Financial Advocate will provide patients with various financial options and administer the Financial Assistance Program.
Job Details And Requirements
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or other relevant area preferred
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years healthcare, finance, business, call center, or customer service experience required
- Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of Fair Debt and Credit Act preferred
