About the role
Joining UChicago Medicine AdventHealth means being part of a community dedicated to extending the healing ministry of Christ. The position is available at all four hospitals in Bolingbrook, Glendale Heights, Hinsdale, and La Grange.
Responsibilities
- Develops and presents patient experience education for internal and external staff members.
- Leads patient experience training sessions for staff.
- Organizes and manages the inventory of educational materials, patient experience supplies, training presentations, manuals, and logs.
- Customizes presentations and training modules based on specific patient experience educational needs.
- Oversees the training and education schedule departments as requested.
- Creates and maintains an internal database to track post-education presentations and evaluations.
- Integrates evidence-based practices through tracking system best practices.
- Conducts skills labs, remediation requests, and quarterly competency sign-offs for patient experience.
- Generates and completes statistical data reports on a monthly and ad hoc basis, including physician HCAHPS statistics and monthly detail reports.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Computer proficient, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and basic computer skills.

- Utilize leadership skills and the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate.
- Problem-solving and listening skills.
- Effective in building relationships and gaining credibility.
- Able to present, educate, and counsel effectively.
- Able to monitor staff productivity and provide coaching feedback to increase quality and productivity standards.
- Able to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry.
- Able to use sound judgment in emergency scenarios.
- Able to delegate clinical tasks/assign clinical activities to implement plans of care.
- A high level of multitasking, organization, and proactive customer service skills.
- Must possess sound judgment, critical thinking skills, ability to manage multiple details, tasks, and decision-making abilities under busy and stressful working conditions.
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or Education, or related field.
- Master's degree in Business, Healthcare, or Education, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification (preferred).
