Patient Escort

Fairview is looking for a Patient Escort to join our team at Fairview University Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. The Patient Escort works directly with the Manager & Director of Patient Transport and assists in the transfer and transport of patients, promoting a therapeutic environment so that goals and objectives of treatment are achieved.

Schedule

1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period), evening shift, no weekends

• Monday through Friday, 2:30p - 11:00p

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe physical transfer and transport of patients on hospital premises.
• Communicates appropriate information with others according to established procedures so that day-to-day operations are effectively conducted.
• Exhibits excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, community, and referral sources.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure safe job performance and the maintenance of a safe work environment.
• Utilize provided technology to accurately record transport data.
• Continuously improve interpersonal skills and relationships.
• Ensure patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport-related tasks.

Requirements

• Must be able to maintain certification of Basic Life Support as necessary
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
