Patient Coordinator (part-time)

About the role

This is a part-time position splitting between our Brick, NJ and Toms River, NJ locations. The hours will be Tues/Thurs 11:30am-6:30pm in Brick and Mon/Wed 8am-12pm in Toms River. SportsMed Physical Therapy is a leading Physical Therapy Practice in Northern New Jersey and we are seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and visitors at our Physical Therapy Centers
• Handle daily tasks including scheduling/rescheduling appointments
• Communicate with insurance companies for benefit verification and authorization
• Ensure data entry is accurate and timely
• Support the team by meeting and exceeding office goals
• Welcome patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone
• Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization
• Complete insurance verifications
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
• Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims
• Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
