About the role

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Patient Coordinator to join their team. The position offers the unique opportunity to work with DailyPay, where employees can earn their pay daily.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Scheduling & Insurance
• Schedules patient examinations according to existing company policy
• Arranges transportation and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate
• Communicates any scheduling changes to ensure highest patient satisfaction
• Pre-certifies/Authorizes all exams with patient’s insurance company as required
• Verifies medical necessity on all exams as required
• Handles release of information requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following company guidelines
• Facilitates follow up contact with patients for scheduling future appointments etc. as appropriate
• Registration
• Greets and checks-in patients scheduled for Vascular services
• Registers demographic information and processes payment plans and copays with patients
• Answers phones and handles calls in a professional and timely manner
• Maintains positive interactions at all times with patients, referring offices and staff
• Supports Vascular team in ensuring highest patient satisfaction
• Acts as liaison between team and patients waiting for exams
• Maintains front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies, and assisting with general office clean up
• Maintains the supply of patient information sheets
• Other Duties As Assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years in Registration or Scheduling role
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Proficient with using computer systems and typing
• Prior medical terminology and previous clinical business office experience preferred
