Patient Coordinator

About the Role

MedQuest Imaging, a trusted partner of Novant Health, is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team at Novant Health Imaging Matthews. We are a premier manager of outpatient diagnostic imaging facilities dedicated to team member growth and development.

Facility: Novant Health Imaging Matthews
Location: 1401 Matthews Township Pkwy Suite 208, Matthews
Position Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public on the imaging center’s behalf
• Welcome patients and their family members into the imaging center and ensure their comfort
• Anticipate and attend to the needs of patients and visitors
• Check patients in and schedule appointments
• Answer and route incoming telephone calls to the appropriate party
• Collect balances from patients’ financial responsibility at the time of service
• Perform other front office/desk duties as necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0–2+ years of experience working in a customer support role or hospitality field
• Strong customer service background and focus
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on a computer
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience working in a physician practice or other type of medical services office
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting
• Medical records experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
